Under Zeitenspiegel’s umbrella:
The agentur.zs is Zeitenspiegel’s public relations subsidiary, putting the agency’s worldwide network of award-winning journalists to work for corporate clients.
Zeitenspiel is the agency’s kindergarten. In a mixed group, 16 children aged 12 months to seven years are taught and cared for by two early childhood educators and an intern.
The Zeitenspiegel-Reportageschule Günter Dahl trains the next generation of feature journalists. Zeitenspiegel members and renowned reporters and photographers share their skills and knowledge with young people in a one-year course.
Since 1998, Zeitenspiegel has presented an award for reporting on socially relevant themes in memory of its honorary member Johanna “Hansel” Mieth. The Hansel Mieth Prize is presented to a reporter-photographer team for a completed feature in German, published or unpublished.
Up-and-coming journalists may also compete for the annual Gabriel Grüner Grant that funds research on an especially promising story.
The Peace Counts project sees itself as a worldwide expedition toward peace. Its goal is to create features portraying exemplary projects in conflict regions and bring them to the widest possible audience.
The Culture Counts project aims to make cultural diversity visible worldwide as a value in its own right. Features document intercultural life wherever it works toward openness, fairness, and tolerance. The project hopes to contribute to better mutual understanding and encourage dialogue between people of differing cultural backgrounds.
