Vita:

Born and raised in the notoriously cheery and festive Rhineland. Trained and worked as an optician, traveled the world, discovered his vocation as a photojournalist. Joined Zeitenspiegel in 1996 and remains a free-lancer. Publications include Stern, Spiegel, Focus, Merian, Newsweek, Business Week, and the New York Times.
