World Population Media Prize for Jan Rübel

Zeitenspiegel author Jan Rübel has been awarded the Media Prize of the German Foundation for World Population. In his contribution „Not with me“, published in the Frankfurter Rundschau, he describes how Kenya's Gen Z wants to have fewer children, thereby initiating a societal change.

Together with Veronica Frenzel, Clara Hellner, Lara Voelter, and award-winning newcomer Rebecca Stegmann, he reported on stage at Berlin's Kleine Nachtrevue about his research and the challenges of placing stories from Africa in German newsrooms. Svenja Gräfen's poetry slam demonstrated why these perspectives remain important.
