The agency is delighted to welcome four new young authors to its ranks.
Veronika Wulf has been working at the main office in Weinstadt since autumn 2015, supporting the Stern editorial team for Baden-Württemberg, among other things. After studying cultural and media studies in Paris and Tübingen, she completed the 10th year of the Zeitenspiegel Reportage School Günter Dahl from 2014 to 2015. She particularly enjoys writing stories about people who don't give up. She publishes in publications including “Die Zeit,” “Süddeutsche Zeitung,” and “taz.”.
While many Germans emigrate to Switzerland, Samanta Siegfried recently traded her hometown of Bern for a new home in Stuttgart. Since the beginning of the year, the graduate of the 10th class of the Reportageschule has been strengthening the editorial team of the magazine „natur,“ which is partly provided by Zeitenspiegel. She also writes for “Stern” and “Die Zeit,” among others. At Zeitenspiegel, she also supports the „Peace Counts” project. Her focus areas are the environment, human rights, and her homeland: Switzerland.
Raphael Thelen lived in Egypt and Lebanon for several years, reporting on the Arab revolutions and refugee issues for daily and weekly newspapers. From 2014 to 2015, he attended the 10th class of the Zeitenspiegel Reportage School Günter Dahl. Since 2016, he has lived in Leipzig, writing about right-wing extremism, new political movements, and the consequences of European austerity policies for “Stern,” “Focus,” and others. He produces multimedia reports for “Spiegel” and WDR.
Martin Theis made his way to the “Ländle” (Baden-Württemberg) for his studies. He worked at the university radio in Tübingen and wrote literary texts, some of which he published in anthologies and literary journals. In the 9th year of the Günter Dahl Zeitenspiegel Reportage School, he found his favorite form: the reportage. Since then, he has written for publications such as “SZ-Magazin,” “Tagesspiegel,” “Focus,” and "Krautreporter," among others. For his research, he prefers to travel east, for example, to Hungary, Kosovo, or Nagorno-Karabakh.
