What began tentatively this winter has, through weekly persistence with rallies, blockades, and vigils, grown into an unmissable citizen protest: resistance against the “Stuttgart 21” project. Tens of thousands of people are taking to the streets across generations, in a kind of balance between defiance and a sense of duty. Many of them have never demonstrated before. And on Saturdays, they punctually continue to do their weekly street cleaning.
