Since the launch of the Zeitenspiegel Reportage School Reutlingen in 2005, the Weinstadt-based reporter collective Zeitenspiegel Reportagen has been responsible for its journalistic training. Now, the Reutlingen Adult Education Center (VHS), co-founder and sponsor of the reportage school, has terminated the service contract as of September 30, 2019. Zeitenspiegel Reportagen received the written termination on Friday. VHS managing director Dr. Ulrich Bausch did not state any reasons in his letter.<\/p>\n
\u201eThe separation came as a surprise to us,\u201c say Zeitenspiegel managing directors Uschi Entenmann and Tilman W\u00f6rtz. Zeitenspiegel Reportagen and the Reutlingen Adult Education Center had founded the school together.<\/p>\n
For 14 years, Zeitenspiegel Reportagen provided the journalistic leadership and several instructors. During this time, more than 150 journalists were trained, many of whom now work for renowned print media such as \u201eDIE ZEIT,\u201c \u201eDER SPIEGEL,\u201c \u201eS\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung,\u201c \u201estern,\u201c and \u201eGEO.\u201c The journalistic leadership was held by Philipp Mau\u00dfhardt until 2017, and by Tilman W\u00f6rtz for the past two years. Mau\u00dfhardt left Zeitenspiegel Reportagen last week.<\/p>\n
The reporter collective, which works for magazines and daily newspapers and awards the Hansel-Mieth-Preis and the Gabriel-Gr\u00fcner-Stipendium, has developed expertise in training over the years. It intends to continue using this expertise in the future.<\/p>\n
Zeitenspiegel Reportagen thanks the current and former reportage students for their trust and all those who made it possible to build and lead this school to success.<\/p>\n
