A late honor for Zeitenspiegel: The third Alpine Report from the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps (CIPRA) has received the Italian literary prize Premio Gambrinus “Giuseppe Mazzotti” – Zeitenspiegel produced the volume last year on behalf of CIPRA.
The esteemed jury of the Italian literary prize particularly praises that the Alpine Report not only addresses problems but also presents successful solutions. “Written by many hands, in the mountains and with mountain people: This third Alpine Report by CIPRA stands out as the most credible and comprehensible project for the future of the Alps” – this is the reasoning of the jury for the Premio Gambrinus “Giuseppe Mazzotti,” based in San Polo di Piave/I, which includes renowned figures from the cultural sphere.
The jury of the Italian literary prize has judged the third Alpine Report, “We Alps – People Shaping the Future,” as a work of outstanding quality. The book, by highlighting, documenting, and collecting the knowledge, talent, and imagination that mountain dwellers use to creatively and innovatively confront and withstand natural dangers and the decline of the mountains, deserves to be distributed in schools, institutions, and families in the Alps, as it has been published in four languages.
