At the Black and White Spider Awards 2025, a photo by Frank Schulze from the reportage „Transgender in Kathmandu“ received an „Honorable Mention“ in the „People“ category. He researched the free, unpublished topic together with the author Veronika Wulf in Nepal.

Zeitenspiegel member Jan Rübel has been awarded the Media Prize of the German Foundation for World Population. In his contribution „Not with Me,“ published in the Frankfurter Rundschau, he describes how Kenya's Gen Z wants to have fewer children, thereby initiating a societal change.

This year, the summer doldrums didn't happen for Zeitenspiegel. Twelve of us fanned out to produce various features – as part of a total of seven scholarship projects for which Zeitenspiegel received an award from Journalismfund Europe. Research, photography, and writing continued into September; a series of publications is now planned.
