Sascha Montag

Born in 1975 in Halle, Sascha Montag completed secondary school and traveled the globe for a year before apprenticing as a social worker’s aide. His interest in documenting his surroundings with the camera grew during his years working in various youth projects in Berlin. Despite lacking formal training in photography, he began working professionally in 2002 for the dpa (Deutsche Presse Agentur) and joined Zeitenspiegel in late 2008.
